Blog...what blog:)

Ok, so I get all excited that I FINALLY started a blog and I make like three post and then promptly forget about it all summer! For starters, I am not even sure what happened to my summer? Crazy, how busy we were. This summer more than others just seemed to fly by and all those things I hoped to get done, well.....lets just say didn't:)

A quick recap of the summer would go something like this. We spent several days hanging out at a friends pool which they rarely use and have allowed us to come and go as we please and even bring friends with us! The kids spent a lovely week at VBS and we also enjoyed several "day trips" with two other homeschooling families. We went all over NC visiting museums and science centers. We had a blast all driving around in my friends blue 15 passenger bus:) Then we were blessed to spend a week at Jekyll Island. After not being able to go last year and maybe not again for a few more years, that week was very precious to us. The kids also enjoyed a very brief visit with the grandparents and Jesse and I enjoyed a little quiet:) We went to IKEA!:)

Well, I guess that brings you up to speed. We are full speed ahead here at the Wesselink house. We started school this past Monday and so did Jesse. We are all feeling a bit overwhelmed with out new schedule but trusting God for his guidance and strength. Along the whole school lines, the kids and I are once again involved with LIFE classes through our local homeschool group. The kids are all taking classes and I am once again teaching. This time four classes...what was I thinking! I am teaching a Phonics class, ABC Fun and 2 cake decorating classes. So far, everything is going very well.

I hope to upload some pictures to this blog at some point to make it more interesting...so, stay tuned for that.

I am off to do my dreaded lesson plans for the week...
