We started the day around 5:30 am with a yard sale...yeah! I love to host yard sales but Jesse is NOT a fan:) This year however, he was a real trooper. I have been slowly pricing and getting things ready all week and last night Jesse set up all the tables and such in the garage and I filled them. This morning all we had to do was walk them to the driveway. I was worried at first because we had only had like 2 people show up but then they came pretty steady all morning and at times it was quite busy. We sold sodas that I had gotten for a real bargain a few weeks ago but had about 20 left over. We started with 64. Last year it was SO hot at our sale we ran out of drinks but today it was much cooler so they were harder to sell. Over all, we made over $300 and the kids each made some so we were all happy.
The plan was for everyone to take a nap after the sale and after our routine swim at the YMCA on Saturdays and then head to the drive-in for a double feature tonight....Land of the lost and Star Trek. However, Land of the lost did not get good family reviews so we decided to just gets subs and go see Return to Witch Mountain at the $2.50. We all enjoyed it. The attendant at the theatre knows us now and filled all our popcorn bowls we take for kids instead of making us wait and get our refill. It was very cool that he recognized us! I told him he was going to make my blog tonight and he said to make sure I used his name. So, Evan Williams, thanks !!
Well, we finished the evening by looking at the moon through our telescope....very cool!
